GEA Live, in collaboration with Disney Concerts and director Baz Luhrmann, has announced global tour dates for 'William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet Film in Concert.' This cinematic live-to-film event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Luhrmann’s 1996
film, which starred Academy Award-winning Leonardo DiCaprio and Emmy-winning Claire Danes. The tour will feature a screening of the film with a hybrid ensemble performing the score and music live, synchronized with the movie. The production is set to premiere globally at the Sydney Opera House on September 29, before launching its North American leg on January 9 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Presales for tickets began on September 15, with general public sales starting September 18. The tour includes numerous stops across the United States, such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and Washington, D.C., extending through March.
