NASA has entered into a partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) to attract capital investment in companies developing critical space technologies. This collaboration is part of a broader effort to support small businesses involved
in the Artemis program and other significant space initiatives. The agreement leverages the SBA's Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) program, which provides government-guaranteed loans to match private capital. Under this partnership, investment funds in the SBIC program will commit at least 60% of their capital to areas identified by NASA as strategic aerospace technology focus areas. These areas include energy production, nuclear power, advanced software, and biomedical technology, among others.
