What's Happening?
Hans Scharler has creatively repurposed a playfield from a 1970s Atari Superman pinball game into a piece of wall art. The project involved collecting missing parts, cleaning, and mounting them, along with modified flippers and custom 3D-printed pop bumpers.
These components were used as LED-lit light guides, enhancing the aesthetic appeal. Scharler integrated WS2811 addressable LEDs controlled by a WLED controller, synced with his CheerLights MQTT server. This transformation not only preserves the nostalgic value of the pinball parts but also showcases innovative use of technology in art.
