Edgewise Therapeutics has announced positive top-line results from its 12-week Phase 2 CIRRUS-HCM trial of EDG-7500, a novel cardiac sarcomere modulator, in patients with obstructive and nonobstructive
hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). The trial demonstrated significant improvements in echocardiogram parameters, biomarkers, and patient-reported outcomes without compromising systolic function. The study involved 53 patients and showed that EDG-7500 was generally well tolerated, with no new safety signals. The company plans to advance EDG-7500 into Phase 3 clinical development later this year.
