Latvia's SJSC Latvijas dzelzceļš is set to become the first railway company in the Baltics to implement a private 5G network, provided by LMT Group. This initiative is part of preparations for the Future Railways Mobile Communication System (FRMCS) technology,
which is mandated by the European Union to be implemented by 2035. The private 5G network is currently in test mode, allowing for the assessment of connection speed, network coverage, and signal strength.
