New research from Intel, titled 'The Robotics Readiness Gap,' indicates a significant disconnect between the ambition and operational readiness for robotics adoption among senior business and IT leaders, robotics specialists, and government and healthcare
officials. Six in ten leaders anticipate operating robot fleets within five years, with predictions that full-scale robotics deployment could double operational output. However, only four in ten currently possess a formal strategy for managing a mixed human-robot workforce. The study, conducted in partnership with Man Bites Dog and Coleman Parkes Research, surveyed 800 leaders across the U.S., UK, Germany, Japan, China, and South Korea from organizations with over $500 million in annual revenue. It highlights that while robotics has moved beyond experimentation, many organizations are not prepared to scale these technologies effectively.
