What's Happening?
The Minnesota Wild has announced updates to its hockey operations staff, including the hiring of Dan MacKinnon as the Assistant Director of Amateur Scouting. MacKinnon joins the Wild after a decade with
the New Jersey Devils, where he served in various roles, including Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations and Assistant General Manager. His tenure with the Devils was marked by a revitalization of the team's scouting department, earning recognition for having the deepest U23 prospect pool in the NHL. MacKinnon also has extensive experience with the Pittsburgh Penguins, contributing to their Stanley Cup victories in 2009 and 2016. The Wild also appointed Janik Beichler as a European Amateur Scout and Elizabeth Hudson as Executive Assistant to the President/GM & Hockey Operations. Additionally, Alex Goligoski has been promoted to Player Development Coach.
