What's Happening?
TomaGold has commenced an audio-frequency magnetotelluric (AMT) geophysical survey at its Berrigan Mine Project located in Québec's Chibougamau mining camp. This survey follows the completion of the company's phase two extension drilling program, with
assay results from five drill holes still pending. The AMT survey aims to provide a comprehensive three-dimensional understanding of the structural architecture controlling high-grade polymetallic mineralization, including zinc, gold, copper, and silver. The survey is expected to identify new conductive corridors, potential extensions of known mineralization, and concealed massive sulphide targets at depths of up to 2 kilometers. The results will be used to refine exploration models and optimize future drill targeting.
Why It's Important?
The initiation of the AMT survey is a critical step for TomaGold in advancing its exploration efforts at the Berrigan Mine Project. By employing this advanced geophysical technique, the company aims to enhance its understanding of the mineralization patterns and improve the efficiency of its exploration activities. This could lead to the discovery of new mineral resources, potentially increasing the project's value and attractiveness to investors. The survey's findings could also provide insights into the broader geological setting of the Chibougamau mining camp, contributing to the region's mining development.
What's Next?
Following the completion of the AMT survey, TomaGold will analyze the data to identify high-priority exploration targets. The company plans to integrate the survey results with existing geological and drilling data to refine its exploration strategy. Depending on the findings, TomaGold may proceed with additional drilling campaigns to test the identified targets. The company will also await the pending assay results from its recent drilling program, which will provide further information on the mineralization at the Berrigan Mine Project.
