these products are difficult to visually inspect due to their opaque storage bags and the presence of cells. The particulates, primarily plastic, enter the product from single-use equipment during manufacturing. To address this, companies are testing the process with a formulation buffer minus the cells, allowing for clearer assessment of particulates. This method helps ensure that product contact materials meet regulatory limits. Quality control tests, including those based on United States Pharmacopeia chapters, are conducted on small samples of the final product. The choice of tests depends on the method of administration, with stricter regulations for certain types of injections.
