Ernest V. (Ernie) Lisi, a celebrated lacrosse coach, passed away on July 10, 2026, at the age of 95. Lisi was known for his remarkable coaching career at West Irondequoit High School, where he led the lacrosse team to numerous victories and championships.
His coaching tenure from 1961 to 1977 resulted in an impressive record of 211 wins, 19 losses, and 22 championships, including two Section V Titles. Lisi was not only a coach but also a mentor to his players, many of whom went on to achieve success in college lacrosse and beyond.
