What's Happening?
Capitan Silver has announced significant 'bonanza-grade' silver intercepts from its drilling program at the Cruz de Plata Silver-Gold Project in Mexico. The company reported a notable intercept of 1.1 meters at 1,077.10 grams per tonne silver equivalent,
extending the main Jesus Maria zone 25 meters down dip. This discovery is part of a broader effort to expand the mineralized footprint along the Jesus Maria Silver Trend. The company is currently operating four drill rigs and has 61 drill holes pending assay results.
Why It's Important?
The discovery of high-grade silver at Cruz de Plata is a promising development for Capitan Silver, potentially enhancing the project's economic viability and attracting further investment. This finding contributes to the broader mining industry's interest in Mexico's silver belt, known for its rich mineral resources. The expansion of silver resources can have significant economic implications, potentially boosting local economies and contributing to global silver supply.
