What's Happening?
The University at Albany is set to induct six individuals and two teams into its Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. Among the honorees is the late Liam Gleason, a former UAlbany men's lacrosse player and assistant coach. Gleason's contributions
to the program were significant, having played a key role in the team's success during his tenure. As a player, he helped lead the team to its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance, and as an assistant coach, he was instrumental in building a strong defensive unit. His coaching tenure saw UAlbany achieve six America East regular-season titles and six consecutive NCAA Tournament berths, including a historic trip to Championship Weekend in 2018.
