The TAC Titans swim team made a significant impact on the opening day of the 2026 Futures Championships held at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in North Carolina. The team, particularly the girls' 17-18 age group, came close to breaking the National Age
Group (NAG) record in the 200 freestyle relay. The relay team, consisting of Caden Martin, Sofya Abubakirova, Sloane Whelehan, and Nikki Nixon, clocked a time of 1:44.74, just four-tenths of a second shy of the record set by Elevation Athletics in 2022. Martin's lead-off swim was a season-best, placing her in a tie for 12th in her age group this season. Additionally, Nixon secured an individual victory in the women's 200 fly with a time of 2:13.93, while Reina Liu and Whelehan took the top two spots in the women's 200 free. On the men's side, Luke Corey won the 1500 free with his fastest time in two years, and Karter Wachs achieved a personal best in the same event.
