Space Systems, a subsidiary of Intuitive Machines, the SXM-11 is part of SiriusXM's effort to refresh its satellite constellation. The new satellite is designed to replace two older satellites, XM-5 and Sirius FM-5, enhancing signal reception and expanding coverage across the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. The Falcon 9 rocket used for the launch was on its 17th flight, showcasing SpaceX's reusable rocket technology.
