Franco Colapinto, an Argentine Formula 1 driver, concluded a two-day Pirelli tire testing session at the Hungaroring in Hungary. During these tests, Colapinto completed 139 laps, covering 609 kilometers, and recorded a best lap time of 1m20.139s. Although
Brazilian driver Gabriel Bortoleto achieved the fastest time of the day, Colapinto's focus was on gathering data for Pirelli's tire development, which will be used from 2027. The tests involved various tire compounds and simulated different race conditions. Colapinto's performance was notable for the volume of work completed, which is crucial for Alpine's development efforts. The tests took place under challenging conditions, with track temperatures reaching 59°C. Colapinto will now take a break before the Formula 1 summer recess, resuming action at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort.
