Rock Tech Lithium has entered into a long-term offtake agreement with Transamine, a commodity trading firm based in Geneva, Switzerland. The agreement involves the supply of spodumene concentrate from Rock Tech's Georgia Lake project in Ontario, Canada.
The contract spans an initial period of seven years, with an option to extend for up to five additional years. Initial contracted volumes are set at 50,000 dry tonnes in the first year, increasing to 100,000 dry tonnes annually thereafter. The agreement includes a potential development prepayment facility of up to $80 million to support the Georgia Lake Project, with interest terms and repayment through shipments over a two-year period from the first delivery. Deliveries are anticipated to commence in 2028, contingent on the completion of a definitive feasibility study and other standard conditions.
