NASA has selected SpaceX's Starlink to provide laser communication capabilities for the Artemis III mission. This partnership involves installing two Starlink mini laser terminals on the Orion spacecraft to enhance its communication system. These terminals will
use crosslink technology to transmit 4K imagery and video to NASA's Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas. This move is part of NASA's broader strategy to transition from its traditional Tracking and Data Relay Satellite (TDRS) system to commercial satellite relay services.
