Kate Corcoran has been named the new Director of Athletics at Millersville University, effective February 29, 2024. Corcoran transitions to this role from Cabrini University, where she served as Vice President of Athletics and Student Engagement. Her
responsibilities at Cabrini included overseeing the student-athlete experience, which encompassed residence life, student engagement, leadership, counseling, psychological services, and health services. She was also instrumental in designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating Cabrini's 18 intercollegiate athletics programs and managing their budget. Corcoran's tenure at Cabrini began in 2016 as Senior Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Women's Administrator, progressing to Director of Athletics and Recreation in 2021, and then to Vice President of Athletics and Student Engagement in 2022. During her leadership, Cabrini's men's lacrosse program secured the 2019 NCAA Division III Championship, and the department achieved 41 conference championships over six years, with eleven programs participating in NCAA Tournament play. She also successfully led fundraising efforts for facility enhancements and initiated a successful annual week of giving. Before Cabrini, Corcoran held positions at Rosemont College and Penn State University, Berks Campus, and started her career as a basketball coach.
