Executive Vice President Stella Li has indicated that the robots will initially be used in retail settings to assist salespeople by explaining products and interacting with customers. The company has invested in robotics development and has been testing machines from Unitree and UBTech. Despite rumors, BYD has denied deploying 150 in-house humanoids or planning 20,000 units this year.
