Noble Plains Uranium has commenced a geophysical program at its Duck Creek property in Wyoming, USA, aimed at detecting buried uranium mineralization. The initiative targets uranium deposits within the shallow Wasatch formation and the deeper Fort Union
formation. The Duck Creek site currently holds a National Instrument 43-101-compliant resource of 5.32 million indicated and 1.04 million inferred pounds of triuranium octoxide. In collaboration with the University of Wyoming’s Near-Surface Geophysics Instrument Center, the company is employing seismic reflection and induced polarization surveys to identify mineralized roll-front noses, which will enhance drill targeting. CEO Drew Zimmerman highlighted the potential of the unexplored sections of the mineralized trend, which spans approximately 5.25 miles across the property, with significant portions still untested. The data collected from these surveys will inform both near-term drilling and long-term extraction strategies.
