Lalazar and CTO Gidi Littwin, has been working for over six years to create a noninvasive method to interpret brain activity. Their model, named Descartes, utilizes a 15-minute electroencephalogram (EEG) scan to gather data, which is then analyzed by AI to provide insights into brain health. Hemispheric has collected over 250,000 hours of EEG data from more than 100,000 participants across labs in Israel, the United States, and the Philippines. The company aims to make this technology available in clinical settings, allowing for more objective and data-driven mental health diagnoses.
