Abdurraqib, a Columbus, Ohio resident and recipient of a 2021 MacArthur Foundation 'Genius Grant,' is known for his works including 'There's Always This Year' and 'A Little Devil in America.' He follows previous ambassadors like Celeste Ng and Amanda Gorman. Abdurraqib expressed his honor in taking on this role, emphasizing the transformative power of independent booksellers.
