What's Happening?
Polycab India Limited has entered into a group captive arrangement with Continuum Green Energy Limited to procure renewable power for its manufacturing facility in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The legal firm Economic Laws Practice (ELP) advised Polycab on the transaction,
which involved structuring the deal and finalizing the Power Consumption Agreement and related documentation. This investment is part of Polycab's strategy to enhance its sustainability by utilizing renewable energy sources for its operations.
Why It's Important?
This investment highlights a growing trend among manufacturing companies to shift towards renewable energy sources to power their operations. By securing renewable power, Polycab aims to reduce its carbon footprint and operational costs, aligning with global sustainability goals.
