Amazon has launched its same-day grocery delivery and pharmacy services in Louisville, Kentucky, covering a 55-mile radius around the city. This expansion is part of Amazon's broader strategy to enhance its delivery services across the U.S. The service was
soft-launched in January and is now available in over 2,300 cities for grocery delivery and nearly 4,500 cities for pharmacy services. Amazon has decided to close its Amazon Fresh and Amazon Go physical stores to focus on this delivery model, converting some locations to Whole Foods Market stores. The company plans to open more than 100 Whole Foods stores in the coming years.
