Elsevier has announced the expansion of its AI-powered research platform, LeapSpace, to include new agentic capabilities aimed at enhancing the research workflow. LeapSpace is designed to support researchers by accelerating discovery, calibrating evidence
strength, and fostering critical thinking. The platform integrates over 20 million full-text peer-reviewed articles and books from Elsevier, along with content from more than 1,000 licensing partners such as Sage Publishing and NEJM Group. It also includes over 100 million scientific records from Scopus. The platform's new capabilities are intended to help researchers manage complex tasks more effectively, with features like Trust Cards to ensure evidence strength and researcher control over changes. According to Stuart Whayman, president of corporate markets at Elsevier, LeapSpace is built to meet the demanding needs of researchers, providing trusted peer-reviewed content, verifiable citations, and enterprise-grade security.
