What's Happening?
Travellers Choice recently held its first Frontliners event since the Covid pandemic, gathering over 50 travel consultants in Melbourne. The event, which took place in Manningham, was attended by representatives from 30 Travellers Choice member agencies.
It featured a morning product expo with 37 preferred suppliers, including major airlines, cruise lines, and tour operators. In the afternoon, attendees participated in hands-on training sessions led by Viva Holiday's wholesale account manager, Jade Mannix, focusing on Cruiseco and Ultimate Journeys itineraries. The event also included a presentation by Semerian Sankori, founder of Patinaai Osim, an organization supporting indigenous Maasai women and children in Kenya. The event provided a platform for consultants to connect with suppliers and share insights, with plans for expansion in 2027.
Why It's Important?
The Frontliners event marks a significant step in the recovery of the travel industry post-Covid, providing a platform for networking and professional development. It highlights the resilience and adaptability of the travel sector, which has been heavily impacted by the pandemic. The event's success and the planned expansion in 2027 indicate a positive outlook for the industry, suggesting increased demand for travel services and a growing network of travel consultants. This development is crucial for the economic recovery of the travel sector, offering opportunities for business growth and enhanced customer experiences.
What's Next?
Travellers Choice plans to expand the Frontliners event in 2027, potentially attracting more consultants from across the country. This expansion is expected to foster greater collaboration and innovation within the travel industry, as more consultants and suppliers engage in these networking opportunities. The continued growth of Travellers Choice's national network suggests a strengthening of the travel sector, with increased opportunities for professional development and business partnerships.
