Lockheed Martin has introduced the Morfius X-Rotor, a new counter-unmanned aerial system (UAS) designed to neutralize over 50 enemy drones in a single flight. This system, unveiled at the 2026 Farnborough Airshow, employs a high-power microwave (HPM)
technology that allows it to be both cost-effective and reusable. The Morfius X-Rotor can operate with any command and control system without relying on unique sensors or fire control radars. The company has accelerated the production of prototypes and conducted successful flight tests in Arizona, California, and Oklahoma, demonstrating its interception and lethal capabilities. Additional tests are planned in the coming months.
