What's Happening?
Automate UK has joined forces with several European trade associations to establish EUROPAMA, a federation aimed at influencing policy for the processing and packaging machinery industry. This new organization seeks to address key challenges such as sustainability
regulations, industrial competitiveness, and technological transformation. By uniting national trade associations, EUROPAMA aims to provide a stronger collective voice at the European level, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. The federation was established at Interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf, with founding members from Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and Switzerland.
Why It's Important?
The formation of EUROPAMA represents a strategic move to strengthen the influence of the processing and packaging machinery sector in Europe. This is particularly significant in the context of post-Brexit trade relations, as it ensures that UK businesses remain connected to European manufacturing networks. By addressing regulatory challenges and promoting technological innovation, EUROPAMA aims to enhance the competitiveness of its members in the global market. This collaboration is crucial for navigating the evolving landscape of manufacturing, where sustainability and automation are increasingly important.
