Waymo has announced an expansion of its autonomous vehicle service in the Phoenix area, now covering more than 350 square miles. This expansion includes several East Valley neighborhoods such as Gilbert, Chandler, and San Tan Ranch, adding 55 square miles of new
service area. The company plans to include Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in its coverage soon, which will make Phoenix the city with the most airport access to Waymo services globally. Currently, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Scottsdale Airpark are already accessible to Waymo riders.
