Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I is investing £14.5 million in a new blackcurrant processing facility in Herefordshire, UK, to support the production of Ribena. The facility, developed in partnership with Bevisol Ltd, will process fruit from 33 British growers
and is expected to be operational for the upcoming blackcurrant harvest. This investment aims to strengthen the UK supply chain for Ribena by bringing processing closer to growing regions and introducing new processing and traceability technology. The project is part of the UK government's farming innovation program, which seeks to invest in agricultural advancements.
