South Dakota State outside hitter Sylvie Zgonc and Omaha middle blocker Dara Obeid have been recognized as the Summit League Volleyball Peak Performers of the Week. Zgonc received her eighth career offensive honor, while Obeid secured her first defensive
award. Zgonc recorded 19 kills and 13 digs, averaging 6.33 kills per set in the Jackrabbits’ opening conference match against South Dakota, where she also tallied 19 points. Obeid contributed significantly to the Mavericks' undefeated start to conference play, totaling 22 blocks and averaging 1.50 blocks per set. Her performance included seven blocks, three digs, and 12 kills against North Dakota, followed by five blocks and 10 kills in a match against North Dakota State. Other players nominated for weekly honors included Ryanne Wattree (Kansas City), Sally Marong (North Dakota), Lauren Jansen (North Dakota State), Lara Maric (Omaha), Morgan Kealy (St. Thomas), Emry Brown (Kansas City), Arianna Blohm (North Dakota State), and Taylor Byl (South Dakota State).
