What's Happening?
Hertz Energy has completed a high-resolution airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey over its Lake George Antimony-Tungsten-Gold Project in New Brunswick. Conducted by Novatem Airborne Geophysics, the survey covered 1,194 line-kilometres and aimed
to improve geological interpretation by identifying major structures and mineralization controls. The data will guide target generation for Hertz's 2026 field program, which includes prospecting, mapping, and up to 3,000m of diamond drilling. The project surrounds the historic Lake George Antimony Mine, North America's largest primary antimony producer, and is strategically positioned for exploration.
Why It's Important?
The completion of this survey is a significant step for Hertz Energy, providing critical data to enhance exploration strategies at the Lake George Project. The project's focus on antimony, a critical mineral, aligns with national interests in securing mineral supply chains, especially given recent export restrictions by China. The survey's findings could lead to new discoveries and increased resource estimates, potentially attracting investment and partnerships. Successful exploration could also contribute to local economic development through job creation and infrastructure improvements.
What's Next?
Hertz Energy will analyze the survey data to refine exploration targets and plan its 2026 field program. The company will likely focus on high-priority areas identified by the survey, conducting detailed geological assessments and drilling to confirm mineralization. Collaboration with the New Brunswick government and other stakeholders will be essential in advancing the project. As exploration progresses, Hertz may seek additional funding or partnerships to support its activities and capitalize on the project's potential.
