The Studio at Mizner Park, a nonprofit performing arts venue in Downtown Boca Raton, Florida, has announced the launch of 'The Studio: Stories on Stage,' a new Theatre for Young Audiences series. This series will feature pop-music adaptations of classic
stories, aiming to engage young audiences with familiar tales presented in a contemporary musical format. The inaugural season includes three world-premiere musicals: 'Scroogé: A New Christmas Carol,' 'The Mostly True Story of Little Red Riding Hood,' and 'Pinocchio: A Real Boy Band.' These productions are written by award-winning creative team Jeff Thomson (composer) and Jeremy Desmon (bookwriter/lyricist), and directed by David Eck, General Manager of The Studio at Mizner Park. The venue, operated by the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Association, features a 335-seat black box theater, a 4,500-square-foot event space, and a gallery with a full bar, focusing on cultivating community engagement through arts and cultural programs.
