What's Happening?
OpenAI has announced the launch of the OpenAI Student Collective for the 2026-2027 academic year, aimed at empowering undergraduate students to explore and utilize artificial intelligence tools like ChatGPT and Codex. The initiative invites students from
various academic disciplines to apply for the role of Campus Leads, who will organize workshops, facilitate project-building sessions, and host showcases to foster AI learning communities at their universities. Selected Campus Leads will receive a ChatGPT subscription, Codex credits, funding for campus events, and a cash stipend each semester. The program is open to students in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Germany, India, Japan, and South Korea, with applications closing on August 10, 2026.
