What's Happening?
Voesh, a beauty brand with 13 years of experience, is making a significant entry into major U.S. retail chains, launching distinct body care collections at Ulta Beauty and Target. The brand's Ulta collection, priced from $9 to $49, focuses on treatments,
featuring products like the Massage Roller Crème and Gua Sha Body Cleansing Bar. Concurrently, Target's exclusive Daily Glow Collection, priced from $9 to $35, targets younger shoppers with brighter, more playful products infused with vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. These launches place Voesh in over 1,000 stores nationwide, including more than 450 Ulta locations and approximately 600 Target stores. The expansion is self-funded by Voesh's established professional business, which supplies single-use pedicure kits to salons and spas. This retail push aligns with the dynamic growth in the body care category, which saw prestige sales rise 16% in the first half of 2026.
Why It's Important?
Voesh's strategic entry into Ulta Beauty and Target signifies a major shift for the brand from its professional roots to a broader consumer market, capitalizing on the booming body care segment. This move is important for the U.S. beauty retail landscape as it introduces a new player with a focus on K-Beauty innovation and proprietary ingredients like Baechu Biome complex. For Ulta and Target, bringing in brands like Voesh helps diversify their offerings and cater to evolving consumer demands for specialized body care products. The brand's approach of creating distinct collections for each retailer highlights a growing trend of tailored retail strategies to match different customer demographics and price points. This expansion also underscores the increasing influence of K-Beauty trends in the U.S. market, with sales surging 59% year-over-year to over $3.3 billion.
What's Next?
Voesh plans to release approximately eight new stockkeeping units at Ulta stores in March 2027, indicating a continued commitment to expanding its retail presence and product offerings. The company's 2027 goal is to increase sell-through at its existing retailers and explore potential expansion into additional retail partners. While the professional business currently contributes the majority of sales, Voesh expects its retail segment to close this gap within the next year. The brand is actively building its marketing and social media teams to create awareness and drive sales, recognizing that retail success requires more than just placement. The performance of its new collections at Ulta and Target will be closely watched as an indicator of its long-term potential in the competitive U.S. consumer beauty market.
Beyond the Headlines
Voesh's journey from salon backbars to major national retailers illustrates the evolving dynamics of the beauty industry, where brands are increasingly leveraging niche expertise to enter mainstream markets. The brand's emphasis on K-Beauty innovation and proprietary ingredients reflects a broader consumer demand for sophisticated, science-backed body care products, mirroring trends previously seen in facial skincare. This expansion also highlights the strategic importance of retail partnerships, where brands must adapt their product lines and marketing to suit the specific customer base of each retailer. The success of Voesh could encourage other professional-grade beauty brands to explore similar consumer market entries, further blurring the lines between professional and mass-market beauty offerings and intensifying competition in the body care category.
