What's Happening?
Disney's Hollywood Studios will close early on October 20, 2026, for a private event associated with the Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2026. The park will operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., instead of its usual closing time of 9 p.m. The symposium, held at the Walt
Disney World Swan and Dolphin, will take over the park from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Other Disney parks, including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Disney's Animal Kingdom, will remain open later, providing alternative options for guests.
Why It's Important?
The early closure of Disney's Hollywood Studios for a private event underscores the park's role as a venue for corporate gatherings, which can be lucrative for Disney. Such events not only generate significant revenue but also enhance Disney's reputation as a premier destination for business conferences. However, the closure may inconvenience regular park visitors, highlighting the need for effective communication and alternative arrangements to maintain guest satisfaction.
