What's Happening?
DHL Global Forwarding is set to establish a dedicated healthcare logistics facility, named the DHL Singapore Coldchain Hub, at Singapore’s Changi Airport. This 3,047-square-meter hub, located at Changi Nexus One in the Changi Airfreight Centre, is targeted
for completion by the end of 2027. The facility will be designed to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, supporting temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and life sciences cargo requiring controlled temperatures of 2°C-8°C and 15°C-25°C. It will feature GDP-qualified cold rooms, direct airside connectivity, real-time temperature monitoring, and dedicated temperature-controlled transfer solutions from aircraft to the facility and onward to customers’ warehouses. This investment is part of DHL Group’s broader EUR 2 billion (US$2.2 billion) commitment to its DHL Health Logistics division under its Strategy 2030 plan, aiming to enhance infrastructure, specialized solutions, and expanded capabilities worldwide for the life sciences and healthcare sector.
