Rider University has announced the promotion of Nic Bedelyon to Interim Head Coach of its wrestling team. This decision was made by the Deputy Athletic Director, who expressed confidence in Bedelyon's leadership. Bedelyon will be supported by assistant
coaches. His appointment follows a 14-year working relationship with the previous head coach, including nine years where Bedelyon served as Associate Head Coach. During his tenure as Associate Head Coach, Bedelyon played a significant role in the program's success, contributing to a Top 10 recruiting class, securing several Top 5 nationally-ranked recruits, and helping the team achieve a Top 20 finish at the NCAA's. He has also coached seven All-Americans since 2015. As a competitor, Bedelyon was a two-time All-American, a four-time NCAA Qualifier, and a two-time MAC Champion during his collegiate career at Kent State University.
