What's Happening?
Doxa has introduced the Sub 200 T-Graph II, an updated version of its classic 1969 design. The new model features a slightly reduced diameter and case thickness, measuring 42mm in diameter and 14.6mm in thickness, compared to its predecessor's 43mm and 15.15mm.
The watch retains its iconic dial layout with two subdials and an oversized arrowhead chronograph seconds hand. A significant upgrade is the use of a contemporary automatic Sellita SW510 chronograph caliber, offering a 56-hour power reserve and a higher beat rate of 28,800 VpH, replacing the previous Valjoux 7734 chronograph caliber.
Why It's Important?
The release of the Doxa Sub 200 T-Graph II underscores the brand's commitment to blending classic design with modern technology. This update is likely to appeal to both collectors and new customers who value heritage and innovation. The improved specifications, such as the enhanced power reserve and beat rate, make the watch more competitive in the luxury watch market. For Doxa, this launch could strengthen its position in the industry by attracting a broader audience and reinforcing its reputation for quality and craftsmanship.
