Continuim Equity Partners, a Pittsburgh-based industrial buyout firm, has acquired a majority interest in Resodyn Corporation and the assets of Resodyn Acoustic Mixers, Inc. This acquisition marks the fifth new platform for Continuim Equity Partners Fund
II and the eleventh platform since the firm's inception. Resodyn, founded in 1994 and based in Butte, Montana, specializes in designing ResonantAcoustic mixing systems. These systems are utilized across various sectors, including aerospace and defense, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, additive manufacturing, batteries, and research, with installations in over 40 countries. As part of the deal, Resodyn founder Lawrence Farrar will transition from president and chief executive to chief technology officer, while remaining an active shareholder. The specific purchase price for the majority stake was not disclosed.
