What's Happening?
The Green Bay Packers, in collaboration with Ticketmaster, have unveiled a new Sensory Activation Vehicle (SAV) at Lambeau Field. This initiative, developed with KultureCity, aims to provide a sensory-inclusive environment for neurodivergent fans and
those with sensory needs. The SAV is an 8-by-16-foot portable space equipped with features to support sensory regulation, including visual, auditory, and tactile elements. It will be available during Packers Training Camp and on large-scale event days, offering a quiet and supportive space for fans who may find the stadium environment overwhelming.
Why It's Important?
The introduction of the Sensory Activation Vehicle represents a significant step towards inclusivity in sports venues, ensuring that all fans, regardless of sensory needs, can enjoy the game day experience. This initiative highlights the growing awareness and commitment to accessibility in public spaces, particularly in large venues like sports stadiums. By partnering with organizations like KultureCity, the Packers and Ticketmaster are setting a precedent for other teams and venues to follow, potentially influencing broader changes in how events are structured to accommodate diverse audiences.
