Dobyns-Bennett senior Tyree Thomas has been named a Try Frye Dobyns-Bennett Player of the Week for his exceptional performance in the football team's 35-7 victory against Morristown East. Thomas, playing both defense and offense, made critical plays by sacking
East quarterback Josiah Valentine on consecutive third and fourth downs, which shifted the game's momentum. He finished with three quarterback hurries, two sacks, one tackle for loss, and contributed offensively with three receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Other football players recognized include Luke Brandon (Defensive Lineman), Dre-Gardner Hawk (Linebacker), Kedrick Harris (Defensive Back), Emmitt Starnes (Skill Player), Ezra Renderos (Offensive Lineman), and Gabe Edwards (Special Teams Player). In volleyball, senior middle Madison Sykes was also honored as a Player of the Week for her dominant performance, recording 26 total kills in conference sweeps and contributing to a 3-1 record at the Williamson County Tournament.
