The Selma-Dallas County Economic Development Authority recently held its first Workforce Summit in downtown Selma. The event focused on workforce development, bringing together local industries and state agencies to explore available resources for training
workers at minimal or no cost. Bobby John Drinkard from AIDT highlighted the importance of workforce readiness in business success. Davis Henry, President of Henry Brick Company, emphasized the challenge of finding qualified workers willing to learn. Wallace Community College Selma partnered with the EDA to organize the summit, with its President, Dr. Donitha Griffin, serving as the guest speaker.
