Gena Jorgenson, a swimmer from the University of Nebraska, has set five new school records at the 2026 U.S. National Championships held at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatic Center in Irvine, California. Jorgenson achieved personal bests in multiple events,
including the 800m free, where she placed second with a time of 8:31.18, and the 1500m free, where she secured third place. Her performance in the 400m free, 200m back, and 400m IM also contributed to her record-breaking achievements. Jorgenson's teammate, Riley Miklos, also competed, achieving a 20th-place finish in the 200m free.
