This policy has increased demand for soybean oil as a feedstock for bio-based diesel, alongside strong existing demands for food and animal feed. The facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2028. Its location in Evansville is strategic due to Wisconsin being a soybean crush deficit area and its proximity to CHS's refinery in Mankato, Minnesota, which will utilize some of the produced soybean oil.
