Azorra, a specialist aircraft lessor, has announced its commitment to convert 20 Embraer 190 passenger aircraft into freighters, known as the E190F. This decision was revealed at the Farnborough Airshow, where Azorra President Ron Baur expressed confidence
in the growing demand for small freighters. The E190F is positioned between the ATR 72 and the Boeing 737 Classic in terms of size and capacity. Azorra plans to utilize aircraft from its existing portfolio for these conversions, aiming to serve operators in the high-value cargo and e-commerce sectors. The company anticipates that around 300 Boeing 737 Classics will need replacement in the coming years, providing a market opportunity for the E190F.
