What's Happening?
The Charlevoix Circle of Arts is hosting its seventh annual Summer Salon, featuring original artwork by over 50 artists from Northern Michigan. The exhibit, which runs through August 29, showcases a variety of art forms including paintings, photography,
ceramics, jewelry, and fiber art. The Summer Salon is unique in that it evolves throughout the summer, with new pieces introduced as others are sold. An open house is scheduled for July 10, coinciding with the Charlevoix Circle of Arts Paint Out Reception and Wet Paint Sale, offering guests the opportunity to meet artists and view newly completed plein air paintings.
Why It's Important?
The Summer Salon provides a platform for Northern Michigan artists to showcase their work, contributing to the cultural and economic vitality of the region. By offering a dynamic and evolving exhibit, the event encourages repeat visits and supports local artists through sales. The open house and associated events foster community engagement and appreciation for the arts, enhancing the cultural landscape of Charlevoix. This initiative not only promotes local talent but also attracts visitors to the area, benefiting local businesses and the tourism industry.
