Tata Advanced Systems Limited and the Javelin Joint Venture (JJV), a collaboration between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin, have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly produce Javelin anti-tank guided missiles in India. This agreement follows an assessment
by U.S. experts, which designated the Indian company as the lead partner. The initiative explores establishing a facility in India for the final assembly and integration of Javelin All Up Round (AUR) missiles, alongside localizing the manufacturing of specific components. The production process will involve the supply of components from the U.S., with kits manufactured at Lockheed Martin's plant in Troy, Alabama, and guidance electronics units from Raytheon's facility in Tucson, Arizona. The missiles will then be assembled in India.
