The Norman Music Festival (NMF) has launched its Open Call for artists and musical acts to apply for the 2027 festival, moving the application period up by approximately one month compared to previous years. This change aims to alleviate scheduling pressures

Shari Jackson, Executive Director of the Norman Music Alliance, stated that the earlier Open Call allows successful Oklahoma bands more time to plan gigs and tours around the festival dates, and provides organizers with more time for production, public relations, and compiling stage lineups. The Open Call is currently running and will conclude on October 23rd. Organizers emphasize that while outdoor stage spots prioritize acts ready for large crowds, all artists are encouraged to apply, as submissions also help fill slots at indoor partner venues along Main Street.
