What's Happening?
Universidad Tecnológica de México (UNITEC) has commenced construction on its new Campus Mérida, marking its first location in southeast Mexico. This expansion is part of UNITEC's national growth strategy as it celebrates its 60th anniversary. The new campus,
located in Mérida's Centro Histórico, is set to open in late 2027 and will accommodate up to 6,000 students. It will offer 33 programs, including STEM labs and health sciences facilities, designed to support the region's development in technology, advanced manufacturing, health, logistics, tourism, and clean energy.
